There is a shortage of trained leaders today across all sorts of organizations— government, business, and nonprofit.
Author Robert T. Hogan, PhD
The faculty
Answer: Yes, with Fordham’s new BA in Organizational Leadership.
This is the goal of Fordham’s Organizational Leadership BA, to train today’s students as tomorrow’s leaders in a variety of organizations. Too often managers and executives are self-taught, without ever studying the science and art of leadership. The OL program also has a track in “global leadership,” for cross-cultural and international settings.
The interdisciplinary Fordham OL faculty combine solid academic training across many fields with real-world experience. The OL faculty are pictured from left to right, below: Francesca Bambino, JD, MBA, MSEd is a practicing attorney with extensive experience in business and education. Andrew T. Cronan, MA, is the Director of Fordham RH Career Center. John Daly, PhD, is Associate Director for Career Services in Fordham Graduate School of Business. Monique Fortune, EdM, MS, is a media consultant and consulting producer for WFUV-FM 90.7. Parviz Morewedge, PhD is an author, editor, and Director of Global Scholarly Publications. Mary Beth Morrisey, JD, MPH, is a practicing attorney. Robert M. Onorato, MBA, is an author and the President of Educational Consulting Services, Inc. Gregory J. Pappas, MA, is a sociologist and Asst Vice President for Student Affairs at Fordham. Michael Williams, PhD, SPHR, is a corporate consultant.
Founded in 1841, Fordham University offers a world-class education at three state-of-the-art campuses in New York: Lincoln Center (113 West 60 Street in Manhattan), Rose Hill (Bronx), and Tarrytown (Westchester).
Formed in 2001, Fordham's new Organizational Leadership (OL) program now offers a unique liberal arts major with practical skills for future managers: communication, critical thinking, leader skills, legal issues.
